Highspeed enabled kernel for the Nokia n800 and n810 ---------------------------------------------------- This directory contains a rebuilt n8x0 kernel with support for 48MHz bus speed for highspeed MMC and SD cards. This kernel is just for the 5.2008.43 (Maemo 4.1) release. If you are using an older firmware, you should go get my older kernels for those releases. There are 2 patches in the series: 0001-omap2-highspeed.diff: Mark the omap2 as supporting highspeed cards. 0002-debug-output.diff : Always print out the summary of vdd/speed/bus width The 48MHz highspeed mode is not officially supported by TI, so it's not officially supported by Nokia either. This is an understandable position on their part, but my experience is that 48MHz works for my high speed MMC and SD cards, and other people have had positive results as well. Nevertheless, you should use caution and if this patch breaks your N8x0 or cards, or eats your data, don't say you weren't warned. The debug patch is harmless and just lets you know if high speed and wide bus modes are in use or not. Instructions for flashing the kernel are available at: http://maemo.org/maemo_release_documentation/maemo4.1.x/node12.html Enjoy! --phil
